Lufthansa has come a long way since it first began regular service to Toronto from Frankfurt 40 years ago. Back then, tickets were hand-written, passengers dined on ceramic plates and post-dinner cigars were the norm. But one thing hasn’t changed in all these years: Lufthansa’s signature inflight service and commitment to excellence. Along with new aircraft, Lufthansa will roll out a new business class fully-flat seat over the next 18 months.

They are really focusing on the west right now, expanding Lufthansa’s presence in the U.S. and in Canada. Their new route between Munich and Vancouver this month is the only new route this year and the daily nonstop flight launches on May 16 onboard an Airbus A330.
